Legacy Team

The Highlands Legacy Team exists to advance the Kingdom of God through the gift of generosity. Joining together through the local church, this community of called and equipped believers seeks to accelerate the vision and leave a lasting Kingdom legacy.

Highlands is building the Legacy Team to partner more intentionally with, and disciple, Kingdom-minded business leaders and generous disciples in our community. We know that the destiny of the Church and Christian businesses are intertwined. We see this play out within scripture through the relationships between ‘Kings and Priests’, and we want to create a space for these relationships to flourish.

Since you excel in so many ways — in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us — I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.

2 CORINTHIANS 8:7 (NLT)

Why join the Legacy Team?

To accelerate Kingdom vision

Insight can often reveal the opportunities to move the vision faster. Throughout the year, the Legacy Team will have opportunities to meet with Highlands Pastors to hear and ask questions about Highlands and our partnerships. ‘Legacy Team Tables’ , All Highlands Teams Gala and 1-1 catch ups are intended to provide vision, insight and alignment to enable an accelerated impact.

To partner with like-minded people

Legacy Team members will have opportunities to connect with others who share their heart for Kingdom impact in a similar way, for example, as the Creative Team does. Legacy gatherings are intended to create space for encouragement, connection, and purpose-driven friendship. Legacy Team members will also receive invitations to external gatherings and events that arise from our Legacy Lane Partnerships.

To grow spiritually and be discipled uniquely

We know that iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and the Legacy Team is designed to be a space where you can grow spiritually and be discipled in the unique context of your life and calling. Through invitations to ‘Legacy Team Tables’ , you’ll not only hear vision and impact updates but also find opportunities to connect with, pray for, encourage, and strengthen one another in faith and life.

Legacy members will also be given a 52-week devotional plan from Kingdom Builders by Lee Domingue, designed to inspire spiritual and leadership development. You’ll be invited to a Legacy prayer network, prayer requests can be shared. The Legacy Team also will be prayed for, by name, every week.

Who can join?

It’s a calling, not a club. Joining the team isn’t about status but about stewardship. This team is for people who recognise that their generosity is more than donation but a spiritual gift to be used for Christ. If you’re passionate about resourcing the mission of the Church and making an eternal impact, we’d love to hear from you.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve;
if it is teaching, then teach;

if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;

if it is giving, then give generously;

if it is to lead, do it diligently;
if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
