What is child dedication?

Child dedications are an opportunity for parents to express gratitude to God for the gift of their child and to commit to raising their child according to God’s ways. It is also an opportunity for the church to show our commitment to supporting and empowering families in their parenting journey.

For parents participating in child dedication, we ask that you commit to the following to the best of your abilities:

  • Provide a Christian home filled with faith, love, and peace.
  • Raise your child in the truth of God’s Word and the teachings of Jesus.
  • Be an example of the Christian life through your own relationship with Jesus and your actions.
  • Demonstrate the importance of being part of the body of Christ by actively participating in the local church.
